Savage Clark is a remarkable woman with a remarkable story. She is a wife, mother, cancer survivor, combat-injured retired Marine, college graduate, and successful business owner. Her journey has been full of challenges, however she has always faced them with courage and determination.
Savage’s childhood was filled with adversity. Her family lived in low income housing in Madison, WI. When things were too violent for her family to stay, they moved to the rural town of Dane, WI.
After moving out of the city, life did not get any easier. When Savage was 15, her younger sister passed away from Ewing's sarcoma at the age of 14. While her sister was sick, their father walked out on the family leaving them to fend for themselves.
With her own high school graduation getting further and further out of reach, Savage attended the Wisconsin National Guard Challenge Academy graduating with her high school equivalency diploma. Savage then enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17.
Savage served in the Marine Corps for four years, where she was deployed to a combat zone in Iraq and was assigned to a Lioness team. During her service, she was injured in the line of duty. Despite her injuries, she continued to serve her country with honor until her retirement.
After leaving the military, Savage pursued higher education, earning three college degrees. While in college and battling thyroid cancer, Savage competed and won many medals for the Marines in the Wounded Warrior Games. Savage eventually started her own business in the government contracting sector.
In addition to her military, education, and business accomplishments, Savage is also a devoted wife and mother, and community member. She has a loving family that supports her in all her endeavors, and takes great pride in her children's achievements as well as her work with different organizations.
Overall, Savage Clark is an inspiration to many. Her dedication to her country, education, business, and family is truly remarkable, and she serves as a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence.
